We’re one of very few agencies working inside Syria
For media enquiries please contact us at firstname.lastname@example.org or through our London office on 0208 434 0500 (office hours are 10:00 – 17:00).
Hand in Hand for Syria has been at the forefront of some of the hardest-hitting news coming out of Syria — because we’re one of very organisations able to operate within its borders. We believe it is our responsibility to speak out about what we encounter there.
- It was our medics who received the teenagers affected by the incendiary device targeted at a school, as featured on BBC Panorama
- It was our doctors who diagnosed the first new case of polio in Syria since 1999
- It was our video, featured on ITV News, which highlighted the plight of starving babies in Syria
- We were the first aid agency to go into besieged Yarmouk (in January 2014)
Interviews & spokespersons
We can offer spokespeople (especially doctors and surgeons) who are happy to speak to journalists. However, due to security concerns, guaranteeing anonymity to our volunteers within Syria is vital if we are to continue taking aid to where it is most needed.
Feature articles & documentaries
If you’re developing a feature article or documentary piece and require background, context or a quote from us, please email us.
